Professor Marcia Soares da Silva holds a degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1994), a Master’s degree in Physics from the Brazilian Center for Physical Research (1997), a Ph. National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS). She is currently an associate professor at the Institute of Chemistry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has experience in Biophysics, with emphasis on Molecular Biophysics, working mainly on the following subjects: Proteins and peptides, mass spectrometry and proteomics.
